Kelimutu Lakes, Flores Indonesia
Flores Island's most-visited natural wonder and one of Indonesia's most mysterious and dramatic sights, is found on top of mount Kelimutu, some 66 km from Ende, or 83 km from Maumere. The spectacular view of its three crater lakes, each with a distinct color, is not only a major tourist attraction, but the stuff of mith and legends. The lakes have continuously changed their colors over the years since the eruption of mount Iya in Ende in 1969

Today the largest is light turquoise, the next olive green and the third black. The local people believe that the souls of young people go to the first when they die, the old to the second, and the black lake is reserved for thieves and murderers.
The mount of Kelimutu is located at the back of mount Kelibara, in the Wolowaru District in Ende, in the Central of Flores Island. Keli means mountain and Mutu means boiling. In short, it means volcano. To the local people of Lio Ende, this mountain is holy, a token of God's blessings. It provides fertility to the surrounding lands. It is both heaven and the hell.

Lovina Dolphin Watching Research
The number of tour boats out in the ocean for dolphin watching do influence the number of dolphin that are present in the Bali Sea in front of the Lovina Beach area.
The more boats that are in the ocean the shorter the interaction time is with the dolphins ( time spent between tourist on the boat and the dolphins ). The behavior of the individual boat captains also influences the interaction time. Chasing the dolphins makes them them move away whilst waiting patiently prolongs the interaction time as dolphins are inquisitive creatures.
However in the last few years ongoing communication with the boat drivers has resulted in behavior that has had a positive influence on the quality of the dolphin watching trips.

Ambengan Ecotourism Village
Ambengan village, one of the villages in the sub district of Sukasada, in the south of Buleleng. Since 2005 this village has been promoted by the village tourist organization as an ecotourism village. In view of this trickles of visitors have discovered and now enjoy its panoramas. However due to the lack of promotions and infrastructures, only a few people have had the opportunity to see the beauty of this region.

Hindu Temple : Pura segara Penimbangan
Pura Segara Penimbangan is located on the coast of Panji Vilage, Sukasada. This Hindu temple is a place of worship for the God Batara Baruna, ruler of the ocean. However the temple also links with the history of Ki Gusti Anglurah Panji Sakti, the former famous king of Buleleng.
There is something special that distinguishes this Hindu temple to other Pura Segara on Bali. Pura Segara Penimbangan has a Taksu Pelinggih (shrine) and this media is worshiped by both Hindus and Buddhist.
In this Taksu Pelinggih, you can find a carved stone statue depicted in Chinese style of a fat, bald-headed man with a protruding belly. In meditation he sits cross-legged overlooking the Bali Sea. The figure is like a Lokeswara Buddha. Is said that this statue is a memorial to a ship's captain from China named Dampu Awang who according to historical records state that his ship ran aground on the rocks.
When a ship runs aground legend denotes that a character named Ki Barak who has supernatural powers and a remarkable ability to apply his knowledge will help those in trouble. As dampu Awang's ship run aground Ki Panji Barak showed his ower to overcome the stranded vessel. By pointing his Keris called Ki Baru Semang out to sea and with hysterical screams the rocks were uncovered thus freeing the ship. This is why in the Pura segara Penimbangan a Taksu Pelinngih was build, a chunk of rock was then placed there symbolizing Ki Barak Panji who saved the Dampu Awang's ships.

Campuhan Twin Falls
Campuhan Twin Falls is located in Banjar Pererenan Bunut, Gitgit and was officially opened to the public in 2004. Prior to that it was rarely visited due to poor infrastructure and lack of promotion. An initiative to rectify this by Drs. I Gede Rinawa, a local villager, has seen it become a very popular tourist destination for people visiting Buleleng.
This twin falls is formed by two rivers, namely the Tukad Yeh Lampah and Tukad Pangkung Dalem and both rivers have been the water source for Singaraja for several years now. Both the waterfalls are 15 meters high and as the local people consider the area to be sacred it is always well maintained and pleasurable to visit.
Compare to the other waterfall in the Gitgit village, this one is quieter. With only three "warungs" selling snacks and drinks you can browse at items for sale at your leisure.
To reach the twin falls you will pass areas that are full of blossoming tropical flowers, along the way you will smell the aromas of the many clove and coffee plantations and can feast you eyes on a multitude of tropical fruits such as jackfruit, snake fruit and durian to name but a few.
The twin falls is around a thirty minute drive from Singaraja and then a comfortable 350 meters walk. Local guides are more than willing to show you around.
