Taman Ujung was founded in 1919 by the last king of Karangasem, located in the Village Tumbu, who was used as a place of vacation. Taman Ujung was called the "Water Palace" because of its construction architecture has similarities with Water Park Tirtagangga and Puri Agung Karangasem.

Vacation In Banjar.
There is a natural hotspring that surrounding by a beautiful Balinese garden in the village of Banjar. You will find a variety of basins with different water temperatures. Eight carved stones serpents spout water from a natural hotspring into the first bath. From this they overflow into a large bath via five more serpents. This relaxing experience is believed to be very therapeutic.

Also in Banjar, there is a Buddhist Temple that painted with colorful decorations. It has a very bright orange roof and some Buddha statues and has Balinese decorative carving that shows the solidarity among the Balinese Hindu people and the Buddhist community who live in the island.
At the highest point of the property there is a complex of stupas that known as a small Borobudur. Some of the guests that came here , take the opportunity to meditate whilst others admire the beautiful buildings and surroundings.

Vacation In Munduk
Munduk is a village that popular for its natural panoramas, art and culture. There is a local waterfall ( 45 meters high ) that can be reached on foot.

Aling-Aling Waterfall Vacation Sites

Sambangan village is strategically located on the outskirt of Singaraja city within the Regency of Buleleng. It covers a large expanse of farming land which is in a hilly area and enable you to enjoy some fantastic panoramas. There are many tourist destinations to found in this village such as Aling-aling Waterfall, Dedari Waterfall, Cemara Waterfall, Munduk Saab Hill and Tirta Kuning cave. There are spectacular rice-terraces and many more sites that you may discover by your self.
Compared to the three waterfalls in the Sambangan area, Aling-aling waterfall is the most frequently visited since the location is not so far away. Some ten kilometers south-east of Singaraja city. The waterfall its self is about 25 meters high and on the other side you can see the blue water river where you are able to bathe.

Beratan Village Vacation Area
Beratan village becomes one of the many programs being offered by travel agencies during the Duch colony in 1930’s. Beratan is a village located south of Singaraja City. If you go to Denpasar than you will pass by this village.

Chinese Temple Vacation Site
If you are going to the old city of Singaraja, close by the Buleleng port, you find a magnificent Chinese Temple, Ling Gwan Kiong. Among the local people this temple is known as Klenteng. It is a colorful and beautifully constructed. As usual, Klenteng is dominated of red and gold color. Gold Buddha statue and ornamentally decorated textiles are found everywhere. This Klenteng is considered to be and old sacred place. It was build in 1873.

Kehen Temple Vacation Site

Pura Kehen is one of the most ancient temples in Bali. Three old bronze manuscripts were housed here. The people around the village worship this temple. It is really an historical temple worth visiting.

Vacation In Subak Museum

One of the most positive historical points of interest is the Subak Museum. While the museum itself is nothing special, it documents one of the most important social/economic/cultural institutions in Bali, is the Subak. It controls management of the water courses, stretching all the way to the highland lakes. A farmer cannot simply flood all his fields at the same time, or divert a main stream to access more water. the system is intricate and the Subak Museum is the place where it's officially documented.

Vacation In Deluang Sari Turtle Farm

This farm’s goal is to promote the survival of the green turtles, which are an endangered species. The farm is located next to Tanjung Benoa, near to Nusa Dua and Jimbaran Bay. The shy turtles are kept behind bamboo fences, so that they are safe from poachers. People are now encouraged not to kill the turtles for food, in order to ensure the survival of these creatures.

Bali Bomb Monument Site
This monument reminds us of the terrible incident, the explosion of Bali Bomb which occurred on Saturday evening October 12, 2002 at Jalan Legian, Kuta causing the death of 202 persons from 22 countries and seriously injuring another 324 people.

The horrible bomb explosion also destroyed and damaged many buildings and cars in a one-kilometer radius, and since that tragedy, tourism industry as the backbone of Bali’s economy suffered the deepest decline in its history. But owing to the dedication and hard work of all community levels, both private and government sectors, there has been gradual recovery. The monument is located at the area of explosion site (Ground Zero). The striking part of the monument is ‘Kayonan’ taking the shape of a huge white color tree leaf, as symbol of the universe, and at the lower part of kayonan there is an inscription listing the names of all dead victims of the bomb tragedy, classified in nationalities.

Vacation In Sangeh “Monkey Forest”
Sangeh is the village whose northern part covers about 14 hectares of a holy homogeny forest of ‘Pala’ trees with hundreds of monkey inhabitants. The trees cannot be found on any other part of Bali and their existence in this village remains a mystery. Look for a lovely mossy temple, which is hidden amongst the tall and gracious ‘Pala’ trees.

Nung-Nung Waterfall Tourist Site
A small village about 40 kilometers north of Denpasar, about 900 meters above sea level. At this village, a 50-meter high waterfall can be found as well as expansive rice terraces just around the road intersection to the waterfall. Walk about 2 kilometers off the beaten track and pass through lush green trees and plantations.

The river Ayung is the longest and largest river in Bali, and along this river, white water rafting was first introduced in Bali. To experience rafting on the river Ayung’s west side is amazing, for besides the enjoyment of challenging rapids, the panorama of this beautiful, intact nature area is highlighted by the appearance of wild animals along the rafting route such as big bats, black monkeys, and more.

Uluwatu Temple For Spiritual Vacation
At the westernmost tip of Bukit Peninsula, this is one of Bali’s nine ‘directional’ Kayangan Jagat temples. The location is dramatic, perched on the edge of a high cliff with a picturesque sunset view. The temple was first used for worship by the 11th century holy priest, Empu Kuturan, who came to Bali to bring religious law and to form Desa Adat (traditional villages). The area where spectacular sunsets can be viewed is filled with the scent of frangipani blossoms and is also the home of friendly monkeys.

Petitenget Temple Vacation Site

Peti Tenget temple and beach is located at Banjar Batubelig, Kerobokan village kecamatan Kuta. To reach this object by motor vehicle from Denpasar, travel westwards more or less 10 km then turn south, or to the north from Kuta following Raya Seminyak Street.

Peti Tenget temple was built in the 15th century and it used to be a plot of extraordinary holy (Tenget) land, bush growth and dwelled by the I Bhuta Ijo demon that was trusted by Holy priest, Dang Hyang Nirartha to safeguard his holy box. The story is told that when the priest stayed at south port (now Uluwatu), a man from Kerobokan village came asking the priest for help. He wished to cultivate the plot of land without feeling fear. The priest suggested that the people build a temple dedicated to god ‘Labuhan Masceti’ and a single closed shrine (Pagedongan) for Bhuta Ijo as a place to safeguard the priest’s box (Peti). From that time on, the temple was named Peti Tenget Temple.

Taman Ayun Temple Tourist Site

‘Taman Ayun’ means beautiful garden, located in the village of Mengwi, 18 km west of Denpasar. It is indeed one of Bali’s most picturesque temples. The king of Mengwi, I Gusti Agung Anom, built its stately proportioned courtyards and large surrounding moat in the year 1634. Containing both the Royal family ancestral shrines and the storied MERU shrines to the major deities, Taman Ayun became the main temple for the ancient kingdom of Mengwi

West Bali Alternative Vacation Places


West Bali National Park Vacation Area

West Bali National Park is a nature conservation area which has the original ecosystem, managed by zoning system, which can be utilized for the purpose of research, science, supporting the cultivation, tourism and vacation. This Park is home to the rare Java Deer, the rarer Bali Starling and many other animals such as the Boss Javanicus, or wild bull.

Vacation In Negara Town

A small town set along the main road between Denpasar and Gilimanuk. Negara itself does not have many vacation sites although it is famous for the bull races, held every year in October. Domesticated water buffalo races and horse races attract a number of tourist as well as many Balinese. Jegog - the giant bamboo gamelan (orchestra) - is typical of Jembrana and is seldom heard outside the regency.

Vacation In Gilimanuk
Bali's most western town is the ferrying point for people wishing to cross to Java. The tranquil bay is good for water sports and it is the closest place to stay if you wish to visit West Bali National Park.

Cekik Tourist Site
A village just south of Gilimanuk, with prehistoric remains (Circa 1000BC). The headquarters of the National Park and visitors centre are located here.

Tourist Sites Of Palasari Dam
The dam is good for water sports and the nearby village of Palasari is one of the few Catholic communities in Bali. The church is quite distinctive.

Perancak
A small village in which Bali's renowned Buffalo racing is performed for tourists. A reptile park and a riverside temple are other Perancak sites.

Rambut Siwi
One of Bali's major cliff-top temples and the largest in west Bali. It was built in the 1500s by the same priest that built both the Uluwatu and Tanah Lot temples. The sunset from this vantage point is outstanding.

Pengambengan
The biggest fishing port on Bali, not an actual port but here the seas are at their calmest and there are no dangerous reefs.
